Monthly Official Board Meetings

Held every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:00 am.

 

A meeting of all Stewards, Trustees, and Officers of the Church to conduct the business of the Church.

Monthly Church Conference

* Officers remain in place at Noon for a Church Conference if members desire to attend.

 

Quarterly Conferences

  

 

Quarterly Conferences are audits of the Church's finances and ministries by the Presiding Elder of the Potomac District of the Washington Conference of the AME Church.

 

 

CHOIR REHEARSALS

Youth Choir - Saturday before the 3rd Sunday

The Youth Choir rehearses from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Parents please confirm your child's attendance and participation role in the Sunday Youth Service.

 

Adult Choir - Friday before the 2nd and 4th  Sunday

The Adult Choir rehearses from 7 to 8:30 pm.

FEBRUARY 20-22 - SECOND EPISCOPAL DISTRICT (S.E.D.) FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

All five conferences of the S.E.D. will celebrate Founder's Day this year.

 

February 26 - April 10 LENTEN SEASON SERVICES

The annual Combined Lenten Season services will begin with an Ash Wednesday Service on February 26 and conclude with the Good Friday Service on April 10.

 

APRIL 26TH - WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION

 

MARCH 23 - 28th - WASHINGTON ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 69th Session of the Washington Annual Conference will be held at Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington. All conference churches are co-hosting while Ebenezer serves as the site.

 

JUNE 5-6 - POTOMAC DISTRICT YOUTH EXPLOSION

The 42 Church Schools in the district assemble to worship, share workshops, host a BBQ, and provide activities for the youth like skating, go-carts, and bowling.

 

AUGUST 9th - ANNUAL CHURCH BBQ/COOKOUT

This year's picnic is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 from 12:00 noon - 4:00pm.  Everyone is invited -- invite your friends, co-workers, neighbors, the more the merrier!  Contact Sis. Bessie Thomas for donation and volunteering opportunities!

 

SEPTEMBER 9th - BIBLE STUDY RESUMES

Due to vacations schedules, our weekly bible study is on break during August and resumes back on schedule at its regular time. 

 

SEPTEMBER 25TH - ANNIVERSARY REVIVAL SERVICE

6-7 pm Spaghetti dinner; 7-8 pm worship service.

 

SEPTEMBER 27th CHURCH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE

OCTOBER  - PASTOR'S APPRECIATION MONTH


OCTOBER 25th - ANNUAL WOMEN'S MISSIONARY SOCIEITY CELEBRATION

Our ladies in white organize and celebrate the many fine works of the Missionary Society. 

 

NOVEMBER 8th - VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION

Our Veterans organize and execute the entire service as well as bring the sermonic message.

 

NOVEMBER 25TH - ECUMENICAL PRE-THANKSGIVING SERVICE

The community is invited and encouraged to attend along with the Mennonite Church, a United Methodist Church, and an Episcopal Church.

 

DECEMBER 31ST- WATCHNIGHT SERVICE

We continue the celebratory tradition begun in 1862 as African Americans waited for the Emancipation Proclamation to become law, freeing all slaves in Confederate states.
